Day 1 – Mtskheta & Tbilisi Tour starts at 09:00 by picking up guests from hotels in Tbilisi. The first stop is Svetitskhoveli cathedralin Mtskheta. Mtskheta is considered religious center of Georgia. Next stop is Jvari monastery. From There is amazing view on Mtskheta, Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. After Jvari we have lunch break at local restaurant with delicious food. When lunch is finished we walk in old part of Tbilisi. We cover: Metekhi church, Europe square, Bridge of peace, Cable way ride to Narikala fortress, Legvatkhevi waterfall, Sulphur bathes of Tbilisi and Liberty square. Afterwards we are heading to Kutaisi. On the way we need to change vehicle and arrive in the city by 22:00 and drop off guests at their hotels in Kutaisi. Overnight in Kutaisi Day 2 – Kutaisi, Wine & Dine At 10:00 we start walking tour from the central square of Kutaisi. Here guide tells about history of Georgia and Kutaisi. After taking pictures at fountain group continues down to central park. We pass by Kutaisi city hall, Opera house and visit “Mon Plasir” arch. Then we pass by the first gymnasium and visit white bridge, then go through park of love and visit Golden marquee palace. Then we go to central grocery Bazar. After short shopping we go upstairs to Bagrati cathedral. There is amazing view on Kutaisi and southern Caucasian mountain range from cathedral. Group goes down to the center with the same stairs and visit Khareba church. Then we walk through Jewish district of Kutaisi and visit Synagogue of Kutaisi. Next stop is Gelati monastery that was built in 12th century by the greatest Georgian King David The Builder. Then we move to Motsameta monastery. It’s built on the cliff and is surrounded by the river from 3 sides. By the Lunch time we visit family winery “Baia’s wine” located in Bagdati municipality, village Obcha. Firstly, Baia and Gvantsa (Baia’s sister) show us vineyard that is just behind their house. Then we move to wine cellar to test several types of wines they have. They produce “Tsolikouri”, “Krakhuna”, “Aladasturi”, “Ojaleshi”, “Otskhanuri Sapere” and of course “Chacha”. Afterwards we sit around big table full of Georgian food. Their mom makes the most delicious Imereian food you’ll ever try. After satisfying lunch we return back to Kutaisi, change vehicle and go to Tbilisi.
