Program of tour
Day 1st - Tbilisi, Jvari & mtskheta Tour starts at 09:00 from our office in Tbilisi. The first stop is Svetitskhoveli cathedral in Mtskheta. Mtskheta is considered religious center of Georgia. Next stop is Jvari monastery. From There is amazing view on Mtskheta, Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. After Jvari we have lunch break at local restaurant with delicious food. When lunch is finished we walk in old part of Tbilisi. We cover: Metekhi church, Europe square, Bridge of peace, Cable way ride to Narikala fortress, Legvatkhevi waterfall and Sulphur bathes of Tbilisi. The tour finishes at 18:00 at our office in Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi Day 2nd – Kutaisi, Tskaltubo & Wine Tour starts at 08:00 from our office in Tbilisi. The first thing we do is a walking tour in the downtown. Here guide tells about history of Georgia and Kutaisi. The tour covers central square, royal district of Kutaisi, Bazar and the oldest buildings of the city. At 13:00 we have a lunch break and then we drive to Tskaltubo to explore abandoned soviet sanatoriums. Firstly, we drive to Tskaltubo and visit Spring #6, where the guide tells about Soviet occupation. Afterwards we walk to the Spring #8 that has the most unusual architecture among Tskaltubo springs. The following place is Spring #5. The next stop is Sanatorium Gelati, specially built for children and there is an old playground and a beautiful viewpoint over the inner construction. After "Gelati" we walk to sanatorium "Medea", following with "Druzhba". The last sequence of the tour is the train station of Tskaltubo. The last activity of the tour is wine tasting in the local wine bar - Amber wine. Once we arrive there the host - Irakli tells us about the wines and other drinks in his bar. The table with glasses, wines and snacks is already settled up for us. We take seats and Irakli starts telling about the wine history, culture and winemaking techniques in Georgia. Then we start tasting wines one by one and doing food pairing with it. Once all 4 wines are over we finish with Chacha that is Georgian spirt drink and is made by grapes or wine distillation. The tour finishes at 22:00 in Tbilisi. Prices
