Afterwards we move to Khareba and Mtsvanekvavila churches. Then we leave the city and drive to Motsameta monastery that is related to story of tortured brother lords David and Constantine Mkheidze. It’s built on the cliff and is surrounded by the river from 3 sides. The nature and colors around monastery are amazing. After the monastery we come back to Kutaisi and do a walking tour in the city. The tour covers central square, royal district of Kutaisi, Bazar and the oldest buildings of the city. At 13:00 we have a lunch break and then we drive to Tskaltubo to explore abandoned soviet sanatoriums. The first place we visit is Spring #6, where the guide tells about Soviet occupation. Afterwards we walk to the Spring #8 that has the most unusual architecture among Tskaltubo springs. The next stop is Sanatorium Gelati, specially built for children and there is an old playground and a beautiful viewpoint over the inner construction. After "Gelati" we walk to sanatorium "Medea", following with "Druzhba" the train station of Tskaltubo. The last activity of the tour is wine tasting in the local wine bar - Amber wine. Once we arrive there the host - Irakli tells us about the wines and other drinks in his bar. The table with glasses, wines and snacks is already settled up for us. We take seats and Irakli starts telling about the wine history, culture and winemaking techniques in Georgia. Then we start tasting wines one by one and doing food pairing with it. Once all 4 wines are over we finish with Chacha that is Georgian spirt drink and is made by grapes or wine distillation.
